Tashkent, Feb 27 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Transportation of Uzbekistan announced talks with the Lithuanian government for the entry of trucks carrying goods to the European Union, after Poland closed its border with Belarus.
Negotiations are currently underway for the uninterrupted circulation of cargo trucks through the border crossings in Lithuania.
Poland closed the border to the transit of cargo trucks to and from Belarus on February 21st as part of the escalation of sanctions against the latter, which has affected transport companies from other countries that use Belarusian territory to arrive to the EU market.
The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan recommended that national logistics companies take this circumstance into account when planning the transportation of goods to Europe.
