The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation (ITFC) worth $100 million. The event was attended by the heads of the department and ITFC Zavki Zavkizoda and Hani Salem Sanbol. This was reported in the press service of the department.
Within the framework of this meeting, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade and the Head of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector for a total amount of 100 million US dollars for the indicated areas.
Financial resources will be focused on the implementation of priority projects in the economy of the Central Asian Republic. Attention will be paid to strengthening the country’s export potential, creating textile factories and establishing the production of halal products, expanding trade, logistics and tourism potential, and developing the private sector.
It should be noted that to date, the International Corporation has implemented investment projects worth 182 million US dollars, and currently 3 projects worth 18 million US dollars are being implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan.
