President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Kenes Rakishev commented on the performance of the Kazakhstan national team at the Asian Championship under 22 in Bangkok.
“Men’s and women’s boxing teams of Kazakhstan completed their performances at the Asian Championship under 22 in Bangkok (Thailand). In this regard, I want to congratulate all our athletes, coaching staff and fans of this gentleman’s sport with a high result!
Kazakh masters won 5 gold medals (three men and two women), 3 silver medals (men) and 12 bronze medals (five men and seven women) in the Thai ring. Thus, out of 25 boxers, 20 return home with medals.
The main competitions this year are the World Championship in Tashkent and the Asian Summer Games in China. It is on these competitions that the main emphasis will be placed on the joint work of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation and the Ministry of Sports Culture.
