In particular, they talked about the issues of organizing summits – a consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, which will be held in September 2023 in Dushanbe.
Rahmon and Berdimuhamedov also discussed other issues of bilateral cooperation, the results of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan, etc.
Today, the President of the Republic also received the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea, Senior Secretary for Future Strategy, Jang Sangmin.
The parties discussed the situation and prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
Emomali Rahmon noted that the expansion of relations with Korea is an important direction of the country’s foreign policy.
Strengthening cooperation in the implementation of economic and investment projects in free economic zones, the creation of joint industrial enterprises and the processing of agricultural products was called a beneficial direction for both states.
Emomali Rahmon also received today the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe High Commissioner for National Minorities Kairat Abdurakhmonov. During the meeting, all issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OSCE and its institutions were discussed.
The head of state noted that Tajikistan’s cooperation with the Organization is open and constructive.

“We appreciate the work of the High Commissioner in strengthening mutual trust, social unity and understanding of human rights. Our policy is aimed at strengthening internal stability in every possible way, as well as tolerance between peoples and religions. The Government of Tajikistan takes concrete measures to ensure the rights and freedoms of all its citizens , regardless of nationality, race, religion and language,” the press service quoted the president as saying.
Attention was paid to the issue of bilateral relations in the areas of strengthening international cooperation in the field of human rights, especially within the framework of international organizations and human rights institutions, including education and culture.
