CSTO Exercises Scheduled in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan in 2024

In 2024 the CSTO will conduct exercises in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov said at a briefing for the press in Moscow on 16 November, BelTA has learned.

Anatoly Sidorov informed that a plan for joint exercises of command and control bodies, forces and means of the collective security system has already been approved for 2024. The document was signed by the defense ministers and secretaries of the security councils of the CSTO countries.

“The 2024 plan focuses on the Central Asian region of collective security. In particular, we will hold exercises of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces in Kyrgyzstan, the Peacekeeping Forces in Kazakhstan, and the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region in Tajikistan,” Anatoly Sidorov said.

“The time frame and training grounds are yet to be determined. Consultations will begin in December this year,” he added.
