The Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan has opened a criminal case against the disappearance of Shuhrat Ismatulloev, the first deputy chairman of “Orionbank” on suspicion of “kidnapping”.

According to the authorities, Shuhrat Ismatulloyev was abducted by unknown persons at 8 o’clock in the evening of June 23 on Zakariai Rozi street in Ismaili Somonii district of the capital.
In the report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, which was published on the official website of this ministry on June 26, this incident was called “kidnapping by an unknown organized group”.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs says that when Shuhrat Ismatulloyev was leaving his house, four people forced him into a black Hyundai Sonata car and drove away from the scene along the route of Rudaki Ave. they passed to the territories of Luchob, Chaghatai and disappeared.
The surveillance cameras recorded the passing of the car through the “Kushoniyan” market, but no sign of them was seen anywhere else. The number plate of the car used by this group was fake.
In a document previously obtained by Radio Ozodi, it was said that this group apparently planned to kidnap a Tajik banker a few days ago. In particular, the car with which Ismatulloev was kidnapped was seen around his house on June 10 from 15:00 to 18:00.
Currently, an operation is underway to find a Tajik banker in the surrounding areas of the capital. Eyewitnesses told Radio Ozodi about the increase in police forces at the western and northern entrances of the capital.
49-year-old Shuhrat Ismatulloev, brother of Dilshod Ismatullozoda, former chairman of “Tojik Air” company, is one of the close relatives of Hasan Asadullozoda, chairman of “Orionbank” and brother-in-law of Emomali Rahmon, president of Tajikistan.
He was the first deputy chairman of “Orionbank” for many years, and according to the informants, he actually led the work of this bank.
