Uzbekistan suspended the calculation and collection of excise tax on the import of AI-80 gasoline and the excise tax on its retail sale for a period of two months.
This was announced during a meeting at the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan. The head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Sardor Umrzakov chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, measures were discussed to normalize the situation in the energy system of Uzbekistan.
In particular, measures will be taken to increase the volume of commercial gas supplies by 5 million cubic meters per day.
A ban has been introduced until 1 March 2023 on the use of compressed gas by vehicles owned by state bodies. The cars will use gasoline.
It was instructed to speed up negotiations with foreign countries on the purchase of additional volumes of natural gas, electricity, coal and fuel oil.
It was decided to suspend the calculation and collection of excise duty on the import of AI-80 gasoline and the excise duty on its retail sales for a period of 2 months. The volume of AI-80 gasoline put up for exchange sale will be increased.
Measures will be taken to prevent an unreasonable increase in the price of AI-80 gasoline. The increase in the price of AI-80 gasoline should not exceed 5 percent of the initial price.
All producers and traders are prohibited from exporting liquefied natural gas. In cases where it is not possible to supply natural gas, liquefied gas may be supplied to the population.
Temporary restrictions on the supply of electricity to pumping stations in the system of the Ministry of Water Resources have been extended until the end of the year.
Uzbekistan plans to increase the import of raw materials and finished gasoline for the production of gasoline and diesel fuel.
Intermediary companies will not be able to take part in exchange trading with AI-80 gasoline.
