CIS Mulls Over Joint Statement on Principles of Interstate Relations in Multipolar World

Minsk has played host to a meeting of the group of experts to finalize and coordinate the draft statement of the heads of the CIS member states on the principles of interstate relations in a multipolar world, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The document was initiated by Russia. The draft statement reaffirms the openness of the CIS for broad international cooperation in accordance with international law and emphasizes the intention to contribute to building a fairer architecture of international relations.

The participants of the meeting decided to continue work on the text of the draft statement.
