Some 5.4 million tree saplings were planted as part of nation-wide Jashyl Muras (Green Heritage) campaign, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Mederbek Mametov said.
Jashyl Muras campaign was launched in March 2022.
The campaign is aimed to increase forest and park areas and is carried out in accordance wit the presidential order declaring 2022 the Year of Protection of Mountain Ecosystems and Climate Resilience.
